Here we are at the start of another year. 2017 was… interesting, to say the least. We made the best of it and, as usual, had tons of fun along the way. Here’s a few of the highlights, and plans for more food, travel, and beer for 2018.

In early 2017 I finally got my passport. We’ve always been road trippers, but now we’ve got lots of travel plans for the next few years that actually involve air travel. The biggest being a trip to Manchester, England for Bobby’s 36th birthday in 2019.

In late 2017 I sold my consulting blog. It had been the focus of my blogging ‘career’ since 2013 while Live Free and Beer was sort of a side project I would work on here and there, just for fun. I started it knowing NOTHING about websites or blogging and turned it into a successful business that helped support my family the last few years. It was bittersweet letting it go, but I’m looking forward to focusing more on travel and Live Free and Beer in 2018.
